Our population is aging, we all know this and it's a good thing. People are healthier and are living longer, our medical professional are keeping all of us alive longer.
But this is also a huge problem, as we all know, medical cost, retirement cost, aged pension.
So the solutions we have now involves keeping the people about to retire in the work force longer, this is possible depending the demands of the job. With the ever increasing demands on employees is this the best way? I think not. Are having them work in demanding jobs the right way? Would they? Would I? No, what would be better is to slowly reduce the work load so they could ease into retirement, but how many business can do that or want someone who's not 100% there, and not putting in 100% effort .
Not to say they couldn't or wouldn't. As you get older your not as youthful as you use to be, to put it in a nice way.
So lets look at what they have instead of what they haven't, they have experiences we don't have, they have well develop thought process and they done most of the things we will do in our lifetime. They also have an ability to make decisions as they had to for many years and they really care and are passionate about the beliefs. The guidance and ambition they can install in me after hearing about their experiences are so inspiring. Just to see it's not new this problem one has at that particular moment of crisis, and they have lived through so much more, and made it.

Well the internet is a bit similar in this respect, I have a problem with some bit of code and it's amazing how many others have had the same. To have a problem that no other programmers has had is rare, not to say all the answers are there on the internet, but hay just seeing what they tried is a help, like don't do this or you will stuff it completely!
My mum has taken to the internet like duck in water, I'm very proud of her and I speak to so many more who also are taking up the challenge, and this number will grow and grow.
If only you could inherited some how these experiences and knowledge and as I watch my children growing up, I would love them to have mine as well. At times it hard sitting back and watch them make the same mistakes I made.
So now we get to the point were I put forward my idea, what if we could by mean of the internet and phones and wireless technologies link some retirees with a young and up coming person. Like the way our politician have there advisers. But instead of having an entourage of advisers with you, they would be connected via phones and wireless devices to the advisers over the internet. Good advise is invaluable when your new to a situation, and fresh idea and feed back is all that most of us need to motivate on to greater highs.
A scenario for you, I'm a small business manager and I'm planning a meet with a client regarding a new project, I wake at 6.30 am and dress for my morning jog, as I leave a put my phone headset on and head out the door while dialing the phone. 'Hi Mike how are you today what planned for today?' I say. Mike say 'Hi Damien, lets start with a walk 1/2 pace as I got so much to tell you!', Mike sit in his lounge room 1500 km away, with a headset on and a number of monitor screen displaying today's schedule on one, a brief plan of today's fitness routine.
A heart beat monitor on the right side showing my heart bpm, which is connected through a bpm monitor on my wrist. Connected via wireless connection to the phone and then to one of Mike partner PC in Melbourne. Who a ex-PE teacher employed to manage my fitness routine, sending a new routine on through to
Mike's PC that following evening, after assessing yesterday results. He manages a number of people fitness routine each day from his home in Melbourne, looking at time, distances, incline, history, heart beat and breathing rates to build a profile with an aim to meet my gold, correct weight for my age, healthy and happy.
On the next screen more to the middle of Mike in the meeting notes for today meet, this is a big one for me, the client worth the time and effort were putting in, Mike run over the names, position and experience of the others who will attend. I listen and reply with notes and comments about each, Mike doesn't take any note he doesn't have too.
Jane 75 in Perth writes a transcript of the conversations, but not just what I say more what I mean. She's great as both Mike and I agree, she gets the gist of what I'm meaning in my words.
I bring up a point about weather they have tried this approach already, Jane flags that as a item to look into and we continue on.
In the background a team of people, located in different city's, get to work looking up Google and there own resource. They decipher out the results and after a Skype decision, exchanges of note and other information they submit their results to Mike. Giving him their take on the issue, best responses to questions and thing to differentiate us from all the other contenders courting this client.
At the end of my jog Mike encouraging me on watching the time tick away as I come into the last straight, 'stride it out now and we will continue when yours on your way to meet Rachel', Mike say switch off, Mike knows all about Rachel, she is beautiful, intelligent and the women of my dreams, Coffee in the morning with her was a great idea before the meeting to relax me and take the pressure off said Mike, but really wasn't Mike's Idea it's doctor Bishop idea, she a retired Physiatrist who watching my transcript in Cairns far northern QLD.

So many great resource waiting for us to exploit, consume, chew up and spit out.
