I've had this idea about donors and how to run the donor system. Like all my ideas if still in the infancy stage and I'm still working out the details and would like your feed back.

But any lets throw it out and see what the response is.

My I idea is that the government would promote a new scheme, a opt in or out a birth scheme.

As you sign the register for your newly born baby your ask if you don't want to register your child on the donor registrar, because your in unless you said no.

Now if you say no your in theory your saying no to your baby sharing his or hers body parts if they die prematurely.
 

But now your also saying that if your child needs a part and your not registered then your child is on the end of the list.

When your beautiful little person suddenly develops a heart problem and the doctor decide they need to replace your beautiful little person heart with a donor one then your on the end of the list, but if you selected donor your child is register your on the top of the list, first heart found is your beautiful little person heart.
 

Now really this is not the case and compatible and timing has much more to do with it then this, but remember the aim is to increase the number of people on the list, and at the end of the day your child get to make their own choice at 18.

We also need to update the law so that the deccison I make today for me and my child to be a donor must be carried through at the end by my family, friends and me.
